What You’ll Need

1.liquid antibacterial soap *Do NOT use bar soap!!!*

2. clean paper towels

3. cocoa butter or plain white body lotion

 

What To Do

1. Wash your hands

2. Remove the bandaging and discard

3. Clean your new tattoo in lukewarm water with liquid antibacterial soap by gently rubbing it

with your fingertips until all plasma, ink & blood are removed. (doing this step in the shower is highly recommended)

4. Pat dry with a clean papertowel

5. Apply lotion to the entire tattoo. rub it in gently as you normally would anywhere else on your body

6. Repeat as necessary

 

What To AVOID

1. Soaking in any body of water for 2 weeks (including baths)

2. Exposure to direct sunlight/tanning beds

3. DO NOT pick at or scratch your tattoo. (If your tattoo itches, give it a few pats with a CLEAN hand)

 

What to Remember

1. Peeling, flaking, scabbing, and itching is a normal part of the healing process

2. You should ALWAYS reach out to your artist if you have any questions or are unsure of anything

3. Do NOT accept healing advice from anyone except the person who tattooed you

It is up to you to follow thru with proper aftercare to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully
