My name is Daila. I tattoo at Heart in Hand - Luxury Body Adornments located in Brandon, FL. Ive been tattooing professionally for 10+ years. 

 

I don't know where I would be without art. As a child, as far back as I can remember, I found art to be my favorite hobby. As a teen, it became a comfort & an outlet. I began gravitating toward body art in particular upon entering adulthood.

The summer I graduated from high school, I began working in a local tattoo shop, as a receptionist. Though never formally taught how to draw or paint, I always found both very enjoyable. With time, and thru self-imposed trial and error, I managed to figure some things out.

Working in a shop full of guys, I definitely noticed the lack of girly flair. Female clientele would constantly ask if they could get this or that but “make it girly”. So, I took initiative & began to draw their girly requests. My boss (who would later become my mentor) took notice. Soon after, he opened his own shop, kindly offering to take me under his wing, I followed him & began my apprenticeship.

And here I am, ever-blooming. My perpetual goal is to continue to grow my brand, improve my skill sets, & keep evolving as an artist & human being.
